Murder Arrest Near Bristol After Man Found Dead

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found dead in a property in Bristol. Avon and Somerset Police were called to a property in Southmead Road, near the Southmead Hospital, just after 1.30 pm on Friday, January 20. A man in his 40s was found dead at the scene and a cordon was put in place. The arrested man, also in his 40s, is currently in police custody. Police are continuing to investigate the incident and are asking for anyone with information to come forward. Detective Inspector Neil Meade said: "We're carrying out a detailed investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding this man's death. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time. "If anyone saw anything suspicious in the Southmead Road area earlier today, we'd ask them to contact us immediately. "We'd also like to hear from anyone who may have dashcam footage or CCTV which could help our enquiries."
